Where It All Started

Hi there! Lexi here. Showing up on the blog for the first time in nearly two years of this website and my business! I want to share a bit of my heart with you today. As well as say -thank you- for being here and for your support of Organize with Lexi.

Growing up I was always the “organized” student/daughter/friend. Nothing brought me more joy than shopping for school supplies, organizing them in my backpack, and then organizing my desk or locker at Back to School Day. In highschool, my idea of a fun time was re-arranging and color-coding my friends’ closets while also telling them they need to get rid of their Limited Too t-shirts from grade school. Fast forward to today— I’d consider myself a “planner” who feels most calm and most at peace when things are in order and planned out. I love lists and especially crossing things off my lists. I love systems, and I love when stuff makes sense! I’m a problem solver and my creative juices flow best when I’m sorting out organizing systems to make things functional and beautiful.

You can just about imagine my excitement when I realized I could do this FOR people as a career! So exciting. So this is why I do what I do! I LOVE being able to make things easier for people. I truly believe that when you have organizing systems put in place within your home, your world just gets easier. Clean up is easier. Grocery shopping is easier. Cooking dinner gets easier. Finding outfits you love is easier. Shopping for clothes is easier. Putting groceries away is *FUN* ! And yes that is my personal opinion but also feedback I’ve received from former clients.

Organization is literally life changing. The weight I see lifted off my clients even after we haul away that first load of donations is hard to describe. Material things weigh us down. And often times I think we don’t even realize it! Long story short, I’m doing what I do because I know how much it can help people and I know the peace and calm that comes on the other side of an organized life. It brings me so much joy seeing our clients’ happiness at the end of a job.

If today I can offer one actionable step to start getting organized— it is to create a gratitude list. What are you grateful for? What makes the list? Your world may radically shift when you realize what does NOT make the list. Once you feel that shift, you’re ready to start!

Have a great day!

Lexi
